IMPACT partnered with Bangalore Creative Circus, and Harsha Bhamdipati, Brandeis graduate student, to work with local artists from Bangalore, India, on a design a walking tour and nurturing a space for discussion on the issues of justice and inequity in access to safe water in Bangalore. The Walking Tour engaged community members from different walks of life in examining the consequences of environmental degradation like the burning lakes, access to safe drinking water brought on by the city’s rapid infrastructural growth.
Stories of Water builds on the experience of the Culture and Sustainability virtual learning exchange convened by IMPACT in 2021 and the following Culture of Sustainability walking tour that Brandeis students engaged in the learning exchange designed in spring 2022.
