Solidarity Loom

Weaving a Global Network of Engaged Creatives
In a World of Rising Authoritarianism
January–June 2026

Across the world, artists and cultural workers are imagining new ways of belonging in the face of rising authoritarianism. Solidarity Loom is a six-month virtual series that brings together creators, thinkers, and organizers who are shaping inclusive, participatory futures through the arts. From January to June 2026, five global sessions—each co-designed with regional and thematic partners—will explore youth activism, cultural strategies for democratic renewal, Indigenous governance, artist protection, and gendered dimensions of authoritarianism. Through dialogue, creative practice, and cross-regional exchange, the series will weave a living network of solidarity across continents.
